You guys are in for a treat today! I'll be sharing some awesome animal-related stuff AND giving y'all another life update.
First, the share.
I have a confession to make. I am addicted to BuzzFeed. The animals section in particular eats up huge sections of my free time. Today I want to share some of that love with my dear readers.

#5. Charity Aims to Rebuild Failing Animal Shelters in Romania. This one is a little sad, especially to see the conditions these sweet animals have had to live with in the past, but I think it's so heartwarming that even those who have very little will give up so much of their precious resources and time to help our fellow creatures. It's easy to see from these photos that these dogs are SO loved.
#4. Dunkin' Bunny! This is why I desperately want a baby bunny of my very own.
#3. The Curious Case of Breeze and Button. Super adorable, and another instance of humans giving a sweet little animal a second chance at life. Stories like these restore my faith in humanity!
#2. Dogs Reacting to Citrus. Oh, silly puppies. You show those lemons who's boss!
#1. The Cutest GIFs in the History of the Internet - Just delightful.
Hope these brought a smile and hopefully a chuckle or two to your day. They certainly brightened mine!
In other news, I've hit somewhat of a wall in terms of EATM progress. I'm still studying my flashcards and keeping our class Facebook group up-to-date, but I think a lot of people have hit a point where there's not much else we can do to prepare quite yet. Life moved really, really stinkin' quick when we first received our acceptances, but now that everything important has been taken care of for most people life seems oddly quiet. The Facebook page still gets the occasional message from someone still looking for housing, or a post from a graduate or older student selling supplies, but the amount of activity has definitely slowed down. My school supplies are bought, my lease is signed, boxes are being collected, and I've been periodically scouring craigslist to keep an eye out for items I need, but the majority of my remaining to-do list has to wait until I arrive. There's no sense in buying furniture or supplies that I can't fit in my car, after all.
However, I did accomplish one very big thing today that I am super excited about - I got approved for my very first credit card!! I am officially A Grown Up. (right?)
This is an important step because it will make the process of renting a car later in the program 1,000 times easier. Plus, it'll be nice to build up my credit history a little :)
That's all for now!
Hugs and bellyrubs,
Christy
